V0.41 to v0.43 Upgrade Issues

Hi,

My upgrade keeps choking. I’m apt-get upgraded and have tried a reboot.

I don’t use Nextcloud, so I’m wondering if that’s where my upgrade issues stem from. Any ideas?

Nextcloud is not installed - only a limited number of commands are available

Command “upgrade” is not defined.

root@mail:~#

Well, I certainly wish I recorded what in the world I did when I noted the same problem back here:

Since you’re not using Nextcloud anyway, try deleting the directory /home/user-data/owncloud and then re-running setup.

If this fails, I suggest modifying the install code to not attempt to install NC. Let’s see what happens here first…

Looking better already.

Hrm, so maybe there’s some wonkiness skipping from 0.41 directly to 0.43?

If you’re not using NextCloud, it’s not a big deal. If you do use it, you want to make sure you have it synced somewhere before you clear it out, then just sync it back.

Can confirm, I don’t use the nextcloud portion. This server is mail only. Thank you.

Same thing while moving to v.56. Must remember to delete /home/user-data/owncloud first!

Just remember contacts could be stored in NextCloud/Owncloud
