Continuing the discussion from SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: Other@Person.com ender address rejected: not owned by user:

When attempting to send a message, I get the following error:

SMTP Error (530): Failed to set sender "me@example.com" (5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first).

I wonder what could trigger such an error?

Nevermind!

I think it is because after I logged into my email account, I then logged into my mail server and ran, “mailinabox”.

I logged out of my email account, logged back in again and all is well.
