User imported the incorrect .pst file

I had a user import the wrong .pst file into their wife’s email on a conversion from an old mail server. Ever time he removes her account locally on the laptop and reconnects to the server, it pushes the wrong mailbox back to her.
Will this solve the issue?

  • archive the account,
  • delete the contents of the /home/user-data/mail/mailboxes/email.com/$BADUSER directory on the server
  • On the users PC remove the email account from the mail client any mobile devices attached.
  • Add the user on the MIAB server like a new user
  • On client PC import the correct .pst file to the email client software

Is there anything important in the users mail directory that needs to be stored?
