Question About Someone Spoofing My Domain

Hello, after a long time.

So, lately I had this issue where I was trying to send some logs to Cloudberry Labs through their app, where they asked for my email, but all emails I sent through their app came back as undelivered. After ignoring them at first, I looked closely and realized that the issue is on my end, because MIAB does not let emails to be sent from another IP, other than my MIAB IP.

Is that correct? If it is, then the practice the company is using is extremely dumb, right?

Here’s what I get back:

Received-SPF: fail (google.com: domain of xyz@xyz.com does not designate 50.19.243.6 as permitted sender) client-ip=50.19.243.6;
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com;
spf=fail (google.com: domain of xyz@xyz.com does not designate 50.19.243.6 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=xyz@xyz.com;
dmarc=fail (p=QUARANTINE dis=QUARANTINE) header.from=xyz.com

That’s correct. It’s mentioned in the mail instructions page of the control panel.

Thanks, Josh! I didn’t even think about that at first.

This reminds of one more reason to have your own server, and an MIAB one!

Thanks, again!
