Opendimarc sending out emails

I am receiving some undeliverable emails that open@mybox.com is sending to abuse@someotherdomain.com, with attached a:

This is an authentication failure report for an email message received from IP 89.234.14.226 on Thu, 15 Sep 2022 08:37:53 +0000 (UTC).

This email looks like a legit newsletter that should have been received by a user of my box.

How can I debug what’s happening?

  • why the email wasn’t delivered to that mailbox
  • why I’m sending out another email as reply

I did a zgrep "sendingmail@....com" /var/log/mail.log*
but found nothing

A DMARC record can be configured to request aggregate and failure reports from other mail servers. MiaB is following this standard.

If a message is not making it to an inbox, that will be unrelated to opendmarc.

Note that zgrep is for compressed files.
