If spam gets through to my client and has been erased from the server, is there a way to send the spam back into the system labeling it as spam to teach the Bayesian filter? I have been able to do this in the past with other systems and wonder if MIAB has this capacility as well. Thank you in advance.
I’m not sure what you mean with “send the spam back into the system” If it has been erased it’s gone and can’t be used for whatever. Perhaps it’s in some trash folder? Perhaps you mean something else?
There’s certainly the possibility to train spamassassin. I’ve not personally done this, but for instance here there seems to be a start on how to do this.
Also, the spam filter is trained by moving spam mails into the spam folder and moving ham mails out of it.
