How do I implement logging of console activity?

Many moons ago before retiring, I managed a server application on a CentOS machine running in a VMware virtual.

The admins had set the virtual machine up so all my console keystrokes were logged. I am not sure about console output. They did that so they could do a postmortem if I did something stupid.

Is there any way to do this kind of audit trail in the MiaB Ubuntu 18.04 environment?

keystroke logging is a security vulnerability, if you ask me. I am sure you can Google keystroke logging scripts in Ubuntu. Not really sure if that is what you are looking for.

There is the .bash_history file. Though I do not know if you are meaning more in depth than that.

Perhaps, asciinema could be of help.
