You could always signup for an outgoing relay service to send your emails so you don’t have to worry about your IPs and blacklists. I highly recommend it.

I was a bit concerend as I didn’t want to pay for an additonal service, but then I realized “why not? I don’t have to worry about my VPS’ IP address ending up on a blacklist.”

What I did was signup for MXRoute’s $75 Black Friday lifetime plan. It’s still available on their Black Friday website. Then, I followed MXRoute’s blog post about using them as a relay service. It was easy enough instructions to follow.

Now, all my emails are being sent from MXRoute’s IP addresses (they are militant about keeping their IPs clean) and I know my sent emails are being delivered to people’s inbox and not their junk/spam.

For $75 one time fee, I am happy that I chose to go this route. Anyway, just an option you might want to consider. Then, you don’t have to stress about your IP ending up on a blacklist. That only matters if you’re trying to send email from a blacklisted IP, which you are currently doing.

In addition to the option suggested by @MXDNS, you can also use smtp2go.com, which has a free tier. I think it permits the sending of up to 1000 emails per month on the free tier, which I never come close to hitting. All of the benefits of an external SMTP service with none of the cost!

The caveat is that you have to make sure that your outgoing mail is absolutely pristine to avoid them booting you from the service.

I had similar issues as you and it came from the incorrect use of aliases to forward mail.

In addition, I had problems getting SRS to work properly for mail that was forwarded using sieve filters in roundcube. I ended up using postfix generic maps to handle the forwarding and that seems to keep everyone happy.
