Hardware Enablement Stack

Hello,

When I login to all of my miab systems through ssh I get this warning, please see login.jpg

I wanted to find out is it okay to do a:
sudo apt-get install linux-image-generic-lts-xenial linux-generic-lts-xenial

just like ubuntu is recommending or is it going to break something. Has anyone tried this?

To try a search may be of help:

You didn’t read my question correctly. I am not asking if it is safe to update to 16.04. I am simply asking if it is ok to do the kernel update for now until miab officially supports the 16.04 platform. I wanted to find out if it breaks anything otherwise I will make a virtual machine and test it myself. It is kinda important to at least have the kernel being patched for current security exploits for your production servers.

!?.. Just said that a search could be of help

BTW, you could pay a look to Switch base distribution to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus if you wish.
