Fresh ubuntu server 18.04 + LVM + LUKS - install aborts

Hello everybody !

I’ve been running MiB on ubuntu14.04 server for good 2 years and since the 14.04 support ends this month I tried to migrate to 18.04.

I would like to ask for help with MiB install on a fresh 18.04 ubuntu server, which abnormally ends with no error message after the installation script displays the following line:
“Installing system random number gerator”

My box is a virtual machine with fresh 18.04 TLS install (ubuntu-18.04.2-server-amd64.iso)

• additionaly I have LVM and LUKS encryption setup during system install.

Anybody else encountered this problem?

Which VPS provider???

You mentioned VM, so it is possible that your issue is related to this issue:

Installation quits at "Initializing system random number generator..."

When i try to install mailinabox, i go through the setup, it gibes me my IP address, says “Updating system Packages… Installing system packages… Initializing system random number generator…” then it quits the setup. It doesnt tell me that the setup completed or that mailinabox is running.
