[External App] MIAB Account Management

Did you switch to something else?

Not looking to make the jump myself (I still swear by MIAB), merely curious as you were one of the more active forum members when it came to modifications/support

I switched to https://cloudron.io actually - It’s emails, apps, etc it’s not as specific as Mailinabox.

Hi @alento & @murgero (I know murgero isn’t around much on here)

We want to use this and plan to make some updates and maintain it, since there haven’t been any updates for a couple of years.

I can’t find a license file on Github though, and once installed the script has a 2019 copyright notice on the page. Just wondering what the deal with that is, we’d love to build on this and share what we do, but don’t want to infringe on anything, upset anyone, or break any copyrights.

Thoughts?

I sent some smoke signals up for Mitchell … let’s see if he responds. :slightly_smiling_face: @S4_Hosting

I do not remember his licensing for that script to be honest. So we will need to hear from him directly.

Hey! Thanks for tagging me. License file is absent because I forgot to put one in. That’s said here is my written consent to do with it as you please. Consider it CC4 licensed

Cheers!

I marked the repo as Archived and read-only now that I am no longer maintaining it. (GitHub - mitchellurgero/miab_account_management)

I do not plan to update it any further as I am no longer active in this community either. That being said, if you need help setting up or making changes to it please feel free to email me (https://urgero.org has my info).

Thank you so much for considering my project for your site, I hope it works well for you in the long run as well. Just be sure to update the PHP, check for any security issues (project NOT audited by a 3rd party!!), and keep the flat file DB folder OUT OF THE WEB SERVER ROOT DIR
