My MIAB is box.mydomain.com. What’s the best way to move to cloud.mydomain.com? Users can update configs with the new hostname, but I don’t want to lose any user data. Do I just re-run the setup? Thanks.
Re-running setup and changing the hostname, then changing the nameservers at registrar should be enough.
Why change it though…?
Thanks. Personal preference. I think it’s a bit more descriptively inclusive of the full scope of services (mail, file storage/sharing, contacts, calendar) vs a simple hostname for a server.

iirc, I did this once, but my bounce back emails still had the old server referenced in them. Maybe that’s been changed or I could be mistaken, but would be worth checkout out when you make the switch.
