Just a quick question. Lately I noticed that my backups are 550MB in total.
The actual mail folder (/home/user-data/mail/) in the server in just 26MB and the nextcloud usage is minimal, just some text files… So my question is what data are backed up and take so much space?

Everything in /home/user-data is backed up.
Specifically, check /home/user-data/owncloud-backup. If your owncloud is working correctly, you can empty that folder.
The /home/user-data/owncloud-backup has 823MB of data.
