I am wanting to use Java servlets but I need a web container. I obviously can’t use Tomcat or any Apache service as MIAB will remove it. Are there any alternatives?
Yes! Can’t you set up a different host for them?
Running something so memory-intensive on mail-in-a-box doesn’t seem like a good idea… if the OOM killer kills the wrong process, things are going to get confusing quick.
I didn’t want to cause problems by hosting my web pages separately to my mail but I reckon that’s going to be the simplest answer!

I’m glad you were able to do that. Agreed, at first it sounds simpler. Longer term though, on Mail-in-a-Box timescales, running separate hosts should be a lot easier.
