Where are emails stored?

I am curious when emails are received, where are they stored? I looked in /home/user-data/mail/users.sqlite and in /home/user-data/mail/roundcube/roundcube.sqlite, but nothing.

Are they just stored as files in /home/user-data/mail/mailboxes/domain/user/cur?

yes. That is the folder.

Yes, in Maildir format I believe.
