Unable to configure mail in Outlook

Hi all, I’m trying to configure mail in Outlook but I’m getting below error

Send test e-mail message: The server responded: 554 5.7.1 Service unavail

I followed the below settings
Server: box.domainname.co.in
Protocol Port Options
IMAP 993 SSL
SMTP 587 STARTTLS

What I need to do to work in Outlook.

What version of Outlook (so I can test)?

I’m using Outlook 2010.

Hi @JoshData
Any update? Waiting for you reply.

Hi, sorry, I haven’t yet had a chance to find a computer running Outlook 2010.

… But if you can log into the box with ssh and run tail -f /var/log/mail.log and copy here the output that comes up at the moment Outlook tries to send an email, that could help.

Here is the log:

That didn’t shed any light unfortunately. Looks like Outlook is disconnecting on its own, even though you see an error message. So I’m not sure. Until I get a chance to try Outlook myself, I don’t have any suggestions. (Except to try a different mail client, like Thunderbird.)

Hi JoshData,

I tried using ThunderBird no luck :frowning: below is the log

When using Thunderbird to connect, you should set all the parameters by hand. Don’t let it automatically find out, as it didn’t work here. By settings SSL, TLS, ports, etc. manually it was possible to connect.

is that possible for mail 10000 email in a day from thunderbird or outlook
