I find it annoying that all services are stopped during the backup. Backups may take several hours, which is mainly due to the thousands of email files that should not pose any problems in terms of data access. Wouldn’t it make more sense to stop the services, copy the Postgrey DB (e.g. to /home/user-data/mail/postgrey.backup) and then started the actual backup (without the postgrey folder under /home /user-data/mail/postgrey). This would reduce the downtime from several hours to a few seconds.
