Send mail as alias

Hey MiaB users,

I have been searching around a bit, and haven’t found any fix for this.

I have 2 domains, AAAAA.nl and BBBBB.email
My email is Thomas@AAAAA.nl.
I made a domain alias for BBBBB.email, to forward all the mail to AAAAA.nl.
So if I mail to Thomas@BBBBB.email, it goes to Thomas@AAAAA.nl

Now I am logged in to Roundcube as Thomas@AAAAA.nl, I made a new identity, and filled in Thomas@BBBBB.email. So now when I send mail with Roundcube, i can select either AAAAA.nl or BBBBB.email

When I select BBBBB.email as sender, I get this error :

SMTP Error (553): Failed to add recipient “recipient@domain.nll” (5.7.1 thomas@BBBBB.email: Sender address rejected: not owned by user thomas@AAAAA.nl).

How can I solve this? (Is there any way to solve this?)

You will need to create an alias for the particular email address. That will let you send as that address.

Domain alias + Alias for that address will both work at the same time? Won’t it bug out?

No the alias will take precedence.
