Secure connection issues when pointing Custom DNS to a static site

I’m trying to make a Custom DNS record, for example www2.example.com, to point a site I have running at examplesite.fly.dev. I can save the record but when I try to open up the website, I get an error:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to 137.66.34.72. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I also have HTTPS set up on the fly.dev site and I wonder if that could be causing issues.

That is not going to work. You need to do a 301 redirect instead - which is an undocumented feature of MiaB. Search is your friend.
