Outgoing e-mail server has reported an internal error - Outlook 2010

Has been working fine for a couple of weeks, and continues to work on most devices.

Except I’m trying to do a setup for a client using Outlook 2010 on a particularly network and am continually receiving the following error message:

Send test e-mail message: Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: `c220 box.tuilder.com ESMTP Hi, I’m a Mail-in-a-Box (U

Incoming works fine. I have the outgoing settings correct (587 with TLS)

How can I fix this problem?

You can have a look for the ip/user in these log files for more information:

tail /var/log/mail.{err,log}

Yes, have looked in the mail logs.

These errors were at the same time:

However I tried many times to setup outlook and the above error only showed up once. Honestly I couldn’t see any errors connected with the attempted connection.
