Official Mail-In-A-Box Slack Group!

I think Mail-In-A-Box should have a Slack group, it would be awesome to talk to other people using Mail-In-A-Box, and be sometimes easier to get help or tips. What do you guys think?

EDIT: I setup a Slackin server on one of my servers, with HTTPS. Get auto-invited at https://mailinabox.shel.io.

What about old school people who stayed on IRC rather than coming to Slack

I am a big fan of IRC, don’t get me wrong except that Slack is easier for newbies. Good idea though

I’m all for this, but I probably won’t have time to join in myself.

After giving it a second thought, having the github and the discourse is already a lot to keep up with.
Just my opinion.

Update! I just created the Slack team/group! If you would like to be invited, just send me an email at me@shel.io with your subject MIAB Slack and your email so I know you want in.

Neat. Can you try standing up https://github.com/rauchg/slackin? It’ll automate the invite process.

Definitely! I’ll do that when I wake up.

Good news, super easy invite proccess. I setup Slackin on one of my servers, with HTTPS, so all you have to do is head over to https://mailinabox.shel.io/ and signup using your email :). That’s it.

If it breaks, tell me ASAP. Thanks!

IRC can be enabled from Slack as well, great feature!

There’s a link to the slack on https://mailinabox.email now. Thanks all!

Howdy, @ my MIAB email I received a slack invite.
Please see the upload below.
The provided link navigates me to the following.
Thnx!

@pimpedoutgeek Send me an email at me@shel.io with the subject “MIAB Slack” so I know to invite you. I don’t know why this is happening.

The username is separate from the login email address. It’s your nick once you log on — you can choose anything.

@JoshData yeah you’re right. I didn’t understand it at first. :stuck_out_tongue:
