I’ve setup the service and have activated Lets’s Encrypt for my subdomain mail.domain.com. But when I try to validate my smtp settings through https://www.smtper.net/ I get The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.
Any tips?

Yes, do not use that service to test things as it is not reliable. It appears that it may simply be a honeypot. Reviews on Google state that they sell email lists to spammers.
What is it that you are wanting to test anyways?
