New Nextcloud Version

So I have been having issues with Nextcloud Talk (see Installing Nextcloud Talk), and found out that we are 3 major versions behind. Is there any particular reason we are behind, or is just a matter of changing the version, and changing the hash? I don’t know if they come out with new versions every time you turn around, so I don’t want to sound demanding.
