Manually Adding A Domain By Setting Up DNS Records At Cloudflare

Actually, you do not have to include “box” but you can use any name.

In the zone file of the DNS, there is no diffference between an addon domain and a main domain. They are all domain names :slight_smile:

If you are using Cloudflare for DNS, you would NOT use MiaB’s DNSSEC settings as those are for when you are using MiaB for DNS.

@alento

2 more questions to follow up (thanks for all your help).

  1. Should I just ignore that warning on the MAIB dashboard then?
  2. What happens if I DO turn on the DNSSEC for one of my addon domains inside Cloudflare? (I know it will give me a warning in my MAIB dashboard, but what happens out in the wild?)

Yes.

I am not sure what your definition of “add on domain” is but the simple fact is that if you are using Cloudflare for DNS, (External DNS from MiaB perspective) nothing you do with DNSSEC will have an any bearing on MiaB other than a potential error message that can be ignored. Assuming of course that there are no TLSA records in play.

By “addon” domain I basically mean a domain other than the main domain initially setup on the account.
