Mail in a Box on a INTERNAL Network

Hello, i am running MiB quite a while but we now decided to switch form Exchange (on SBS2011) to Openj Source for our Internal Network is there a way to install MIB on a internal Network so that we can sync our mails and have all the calendar stuff with us?

See my comment here and let us know how you get on. Yes it is possible and some of us do run MIAB internally but there is some set up involved.
