Mail-in-a-box android mobile privacy

Hi folks,

I was just wondering if I configure my mail-in-a-box to use on my android phone (using the Samsung default email app), will my privacy be compromised?

Thanks a lot !
Ali

Not from the server end. That part is secure. MIAB can’t control what’s installed on your phone, so use good judgement when installing apps on your phone.

Thanks!
So, any recommendation on what app to use to read emails on mobile?

K9 Mail with OpenPGP for ultimate privacy.

Thanks!
Yes, I just went for K9 Mail after I found it on privacytools.io. But does it inherently use OpenPGP, or do I need to do some setup?

OpenKeyChain for Android is compatible with K9. K9 itself requires a plugin for OpenPGP (Hence the OpenKeychain)

google mail app is the best to read mail and you can download it from Gmail customer support where just by clicking download it automatically detects your device and the compatible app will be downloaded and it is very simple to use.

@peterprism gmail is nice, however OP wanted something more private than google.
