Is it possible to make box.yourdomain.com/mail to yourdomain.com?

If so, how do I do so without interfering anything? Because this not only ease the entire process but also helpful for the email users. And also, is it possible to block off the rest of the subdomains that displays “this is a mail-in-a-box, take control of your email at https://mailinabox.email/”? Perhaps redirecting the user to yourdomain.com as well.

I would probably be open to having a subdomain like mail.yourdomain.com as an alternative. Perhaps rerouting the users that visit yourdomain.com to mail.yourdomain.com until we have a landing page visible.

I think your best bet is a landing page like you mentioned. If you need an idea for one, take a look at mine at MXLogon(dot)com. I click a button and I can get to webmail almost instantly.

Nice. @MXDNS
@Axelrod Or you can make a landing page with a redirect to the subdomain.

How did you manage to remove the (box).yourdomain.com/mail? Specifically the box, never really figured it out. Are you pointing your domain somewhere or…

I didn’t remove box.mydomain.com. It’s still there. You should be able to visit yourdomain.com/mail and it should lead to your webmail login.

All I did was create a landing page (well, I bought it from ThemeForest) and then I pointed the buttons on my landing page to the webmail login screen.

Everything is hosted on my Mail-in-a-Box VPS, including the landing page.

Wow… That’s crazy, thank you very much for taking the time to let me know about this. I did not know that existed at all. :sob:

You’re welcome! Glad I could help

I am new to MIAB this year, and it’s absolutely wonderful software! It allows me to run a mail server for a few bucks a month for all my custom domains.

I see, yeah, I see the potential too. But are we not afraid of DDos/bruteforce attacks?

Nahh, if someone wants to DDoS my VPS, they must be bored :joy: most web hosting providers offer some sort of DDoS protection anyway.

Enable 2FA in the admin section and be sure your admin password is strong, unique, and it’s never been used anywhere else. You should be good, especially with 2FA turned on.
