I have just install a new MIAB system on a new Linode, and I’d like to make a backup right now, before I enter anything into it.
How can I force a backup now?
Do I need to wait several days for the first one to happen automatically?

If you enable backups they will occur automatically every 24 hours.
Please note that the backup is only of your Mail-in-a-Box related data itself which includes Nextcloud data. It is not a backup of the system or program files.
If you wish to force one manually immediately, you can do so from the command line with: sudo ~/mailinabox/management/backup.py
