ImapCopy alternatives & Allowing connections to port 143 for a limited time

I installed this system on a digital ocean droplet a few minutes ago, and wanted to start copying data from the current email provider using “imapcopy” (http://code.google.com/p/imapcopy/)

Do you guys know of a better tool for this job?

Since I do not yet have a valid SSL certification, the connection to my local imap server fails. Is there a way to allow connections without ssl just for this email migration?

So far this system looks brilliant! Big thanks to the author!

Hi Trond,

you’d use stunnel to connect without encryption to a port on localhost, which then gets forwarded encrypted to your mailserver. :slight_smile: This always works for me pretty well…
