Same here. I had been trying since last few months.
Maybe the admins and mods are too busy. So better use these forums.
Since about 3 weeks ago Slack has been completely rendered useless for me.
I am abandoning it completely, and will return to participating here regularly – hopefully. 
It does appear that the Slack Auto Invite is still broken.
Is there really actually even a Slack channel out there for MIAB?
Or is it’s existence a MYTH?
I can confirm it exists, but without the working link, I guess for only existing people.
I am curious - is there a person or persons who admin the Slack group who could send invites to those of us who would like to get in?
I have a feeling that it is all administered and maintained by Josh. Pretty sure he wouldn’t have the time to respond to these one-by-one as you suggested.
