I started on an OVH VPS but I've been hunting for a new provider and keep hitting bad luck

I’m currently having issues with my Contabo instance it’s whining about my ipv6 ✖ Public DNS (nsd4) is running and available over IPv4 but is not accessible over IPv6 at 2a02:REDACTED::1 port 53

Linode is great. Very economical and flexible.

Did you install miab and enable ipv6 afterwards.
Important to have ipv6 turned on before installing.

The problem with ovh vps is that they assign you a /128 ipv6, and I had this blacklist issue:

CSS lists /64 subnets (or larger) of IPv6 addresses as dictated by industry standards.

The industry standard for the smallest IPv6 allocation to individual customers, even for home-uses like cable, DSL or wireless is a /64.

Some providers choose to not follow the industry standard, and allocate smaller subnets. As a result, you are sharing the same network segment as other customers, which can include problematic ones.

This non-standard allocation practice can result in IPv6 IPs being listed in CSS because of neighboring IPs that share the same /64 - contrary to industry standard.

NOTE: If your allocation is smaller than /64, we cannot remove it from CSS, and the situation needs to be corrected with the provider prior to requesting removal. For more information about IPv6, IP allocation, and industry standards, please see our FAQ.

They do /64 ranges but only with bare metals which start at 50 eur/month…

any provider that gives /64 subnets on VPSs?

Ipv6 ranges are great but if it’s from an autonomous systems number that is also on a blacklist you’re buggered.
