How best to bulk transfer all email aliases from old MIAB to new server?

Is there a suggested way to transfer all the email alias’ list from an old MIAB (v0.30) to a newer install (v71a)?

I’ve played around with the REST API exporting the alias list. I suspect if I dust off some rusty scripting skills this may be an option. I’ve also found a thread from back in Mar 2016 giving suggestions on using sqlite directly for bulk alias manipulation.

I have no interest in upgrading the old server through the various versions. Only that the email alias’ list is significant and would take forever to redo by hand.

Any ideas on what direction I should target? sqlite direct? or REST API?

By any chance - does anyone have or can point to an existing script?
