So … this is not making any sense to me. Why is your full backup from the first day ONLY on the MiaB and then each day since you have directories representing a full backup for each day.
On my test box the same / similar is happening. I have full backups for every day before I started rsync on my box and directories on the backup server for every day SINCE rsync started.
