DNS settings when using external DNS/domain

Hi there,

How would the DNS setup work when we use an external DNS service to host our domain (eg. DNSMadeEasy).

Would we then add MX records that point to our Mail-in-a-box service – the section on that in the setup guide under Domain Name Configuration — Nameservers (external) does not state that clearly.

We would just like to check how we would need to set this up since the DNS cannot be hosted by our Mail-in-a-box service.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In MIAB’s Admin page, go to System->External DNS and put those records in the external DNS server.
