SInce Lavabit is relaunching with DIME as one of the main features.
Why not support this in Mail-in-a-Box. So that End to End encryption is made easier for everyone.

Perhaps you should explain what this does, and why we’d want to include it.
Adding features increases the amount of work it takes to support them so traditionally, MIAB has been loath to add new features. Unless it is simple to install, easy to support, well documented and a well established protocol, MIAB is historically unlikely to add it.
What features and functionality would this provide? How widespread is this protocol? What organizations are supporting it?
Additionally, the code base you link to seems like it hasn’t been updated in quite some time.
That said, if you put together a pull request, I’ll take it for a spin on my test box.
Just my $0.02.
