I am looking at migrating the core mail-in-a-box functionality I currently use to being hosted from a different domain. This domain is currently serving mail from the same MIAB. I see this is not a supported method in the docs, but I also see people that have managed to recover their instance when they forget to renew a domain and have to recover to a new domain. Is there a way to migrate domains using the setup/upgrade script and maybe some back end tweaks to settings? I have backups in my cloud provider, so I feel pretty safe in making the changes in case things go south. Just wondering if anyone has done this and what needs to be changed if I do.
Simply rerun the setup and change the hostname of the MiaB server.
Of course, you’ll need to adjust Glue, etc.
