Change/disable password policy

Hi there

I have recently updated my MIAB to v0.22. Unfortunately there is a new password policy

Newly set user passwords must be at least eight characters.

Is there a way to disable that policy? Or change it?

This was changed in this PR 1098

As you can see it spans multiple files and would require you to maintain an own patch set. So yes it’s possible, but not easy. (Also probably not wise, if someone brute forces a short password they can send as much spam as they like)

Of course it is not wise. But i am not allowed to decide how long the passwords must be. i just have to do it.

Well if you must, you could maintain a fork of the repo and merge it with the upstream changes.
