Change authoritative NS to be root zone

I really like the web UI for DNS records and would like to keep this if possible. There don’t seem to be a lot of web UIs for administering DNS (which I was surprised by).

However, I don’t like that things are rigidly stuck on “box” (or in my case, “mail”), and NS entries not pointing to root domains (e.g. ns1.box.domain.tld vs ns1.domain.tld) just looks hokey. Especially since the general goal is this to be the authoritative nameserver for a domain.

Is there a way to configure MIAB to authoritatively configure DNS for the root zone (e.g. SOA and NS records) so that this looks cleaner?
