Alias Enhancements

How difficult would be be to add the ability to put some extra information with each email address under an alias? Make it a bit more friendly for larger lists?

In the end I have 240 residents in my community who I want to put on a single email disto for community announcements. While I can do this, having a single list of 240 email addresses becomes very unwieldy if it ever needs to be pruned and managed in the future. Ideally, if I could add a description to each one, perhaps name, and/or even house number, it would make my life far easier.

The other thing that strikes me as needed is the ability to limit who can send to an alias such as this. My current solution is to just use a random address like jjsfg112@communityname.com as the email and put it on the BCC line when I send emails to keep people from knowing what the distro name is.

Lastly, is there a size at which MiaB will have issues processing a list of a certain size?

I would be pretty difficult because in the current setup Postfix reads the database for the aliases directly and it comes out of a single comma-separated field.

I think you would be good at least in the low hundreds. Once you get to the thousands I think the limit will just be that your box will be sending a lot of messages at once. It might just take a while to process that queue. Maybe other things. Could raise red flags on the receiving end - you might get more spam complaints (possibly by mistake).
