After deleting alias, emails still forward to old alias address

example setup:

have catch-all @domain to postmaster@domain

previously had: sales@domain was alias to info@domain

deleted sales@domain / info@domain alias - so it should now forward sales@domain to postmaster@domain via the catch-all

EXCEPT, it still is being sent/caught in the info@domain

IDEAS??

delete the catch all alias and re-add it back.
