As I want to pull the backups with an unpriviledged user it would be great to add a read permission for everybody to the files (604).
World-read access to files, especially root-owned files, is typically frowned upon. We could probably make the files owned by the user-data user, but someone will need to test that this doesn’t break the backup process. Please open an issue on github if you want to pursue that. Thanks.
