ACL for preferred senders to a specific alias

Hello,

I am using the “alias” function to send messages to a group of people similar to a distribution list.

Is there some way to restrict that alias to only a few email address as being authorized to send to that alias/distribution list?

I am pretty decent with Linux so something under the covers would be OK too. Just don’t know where to look.

Update: I just ended up putting the mail in the “BCC” line so that people wouldn’t see who I was sending to. Not perfect but works for now.

You may want to consider actual mailing list software. Mailman used to be the popular one I believe but there are newer more popular ones out there these days. Not sure which is the ‘to go to’ mailing list manager though.
