As the title suggests - please start a new thread specific to your issue rather than adding them to the Announcement post. It will make it easier to obtain assistance with your specific issue AND will also make it easier for others in the future to refer to your issue for help.

I think it’s part of the community guidelines to NOT post off-topic to that extreme (like hi-jacking another users issue thread for an unrelated issue)

Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a New Topic.
Indeed but a little reminder never hurts. There have been so many different issues raised in the Announcement post that it will eventually become unmanageable. So while issues concerning the upgrade ARE on topic, they should really have their OWN topic.
