Mail-in-a-Box is configured to use a public DNS server. This is not supported by spamhaus. Could not determine whether this box’s IPv4 address is blacklisted.

The server is using internal DNS and I do not know where this has come from.

Nothing has been done to the server and no changes have been made at Namecheap for the domain.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

I believe I may have found the issue.
After doing some more research I found this article:

This specific error occurs because Spamhaus restricts lookups from public DNS resolvers (like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8) to prevent rate limiting and abuse. Mail-in-a-Box (MiaB) relies on its own built-in local DNS server (Bind9/NSD) running on 127.0.0.1.

My DNS forwarders somehow got changed to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8) as I found these in /etc/resolv.conf. Once removed all worked ok.

Admin passwords will now be changed inc 2FA.

Thanks for your response.
